Props

We encourage students to bring their own mats (and blankets) to the studio if you have them. It is especially helpful during cold and flu season. We have mats, blankets, and props for accessibility and for those who forget theirs. Please bring a closed lid water bottle for hydration. For our special events, like sound baths, do bring your own props for comfort if you are able and dress in layers.

Drop Ins Are Welcome

While we do welcome drop ins, it is a good idea to check the schedule. In the event there is a cancellation or a teacher change, it will be posted to the online schedule. This way, our community can avoid a trip to the studio if there isn’t a class. This is especially important during the cold and flu season. We do our best not to cancel a class, but it does happen.

COVID and Lighthouse Yoga

We are no longer under a mask mandate. We respect everyone’s decision whether to mask up, or not. It is optional. No one will be judged for their choice, and everyone who comes to the studio should feel safe in their decision. We do still have masks and sheilds for those who want them.

We continue to Keep the studio clean to combat the spread of germs. We make sure that heavily trafficked areas are wiped down and disinfected. The studio floors are regularly steam cleaned. Hand Sanitizer is available at the front desk.

We have disinfectant wipes for our studio mats and you are welcome to use them to give yours a swipe after class as well. Even though we do have props and mats for students to use, we recommend that if you have your own, you may want to bring them if it makes you feel safer.

If staff is ill, we will follow the protocols for self quarantining at home. Please don’t come to class if you feel sick, either. Let us know if you need help canceling or moving your class around.

Door Locking Policy

Often we must close and lock the doors when our classes begin. We wait until the last possible minute to shut and lock the doors. Out of respect to the students in class and the teacher, we ask that you do not bang on the doors or windows or call the studio after you have arrived late. The teacher is no longer in the reception area and cannot reach the phone.

We understand that life gets in the way, and we can’t control everything that happens around us, and there will be times that running late is inevitable. We recognize that we are all deserving of the time and space to practice yoga and it’s upsetting to arrive late and not be able to come in.

Please know that not opening the door once the front doors are locked and studio doors are closed is not a punishment towards anyone who is tardy. It is out of respect to the teacher and students who have already begun tuning in and settling into the space and flow of practice that the class will not be disrupted and stopped.

We care very much for our Lighthouse Community and we want everyone to experience the benefits that a yoga practice can bring. We thank you for your understanding.
